We can provide tuition individually at your home, in groups, in a classroom based in Bath and via online platforms. Our experienced tutors will devise a tailored approach and strategy depending on what your desired outcomes are and provide regular feedback throughout the process. We work with a small group of professional tutors and qualified teachers, who not only have outstanding academic records but are also able to inspire and motivate your child beyond what is possible in the classroom.
The benefits of tutoring are huge; our team of tutors will aim to build confidence, provide focus and help them through the syllabus as well as tackling the importance of examination technique.

Online tuition
- Pupils and tutors see each other via live video – great for building rapport
- Upload essays or past papers, and work through examples together on an interactive whiteboard
- Lessons fit effortlessly into family life. You can have lessons at school before sports, at home, or even on holiday.
All you need to get started is a computer, laptop, mobile, iPad or other tablet, broadband internet connection and microphone. Most Crescent tutors tend to use Bramble, Zoom or Skype as the platform of choice. We are currently using Bramble with our tutors and students, this online platform provides an excellent online learning experience.
“Online tuition via Zoom was perfect for me, as during the school holidays I travel a lot with my family. It enabled me to keep on track with my studies wherever I was. The support enabled me to achieve my target grades for A Level.” Sam, Student
Welfare and Resilience
We believe it’s important for students to be equipped to bounce back from tough situations or those where they didn’t achieve perfection. We are offering welfare and resilience tutoring for students of any age to deal with the pressures of the modern educational world. Preventing and addressing mental wellbeing issues is key in dealing with some of the more harmful side effects that can sometimes occur, such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
Tutoring in welfare and resilience is individually tailored to the students’ needs and is delivered from our outstanding tutor who is qualified in these fields. She has experience as lead student welfare officer, mental health first aid trained and a trained student counsellor, as well as working as a teacher and tutor in two of the South West’s leading schools. These sessions are available as home tuition or via an online platform like Zoom.
Topics included; exam stress and anxiety, expectations management, resilience training, independence, situational judgement, applying for university, preparation for university life.
